About CHAMBA
There’s more to a person than a job title. And more to a job than a description.
People know how to do remarkable things. They just don’t always have the words to describe them. And employers know what makes someone great at a job, even when it doesn’t show up in a job posting.
CHAMBA brings those two worlds together, helping people recognize what they know, businesses find what they need, and educators teach what comes next.

The story behind the name
Chamba. A familiar word for work.
“Chamba” is a word many people use in everyday conversation — a friendly, recognizable term for a job or work. It’s also inspired by the way “chambers of commerce” has been pronounced in many Spanish-speaking communities, a place that has long helped people find work and build better futures.
We chose this name because it reflects our belief that opportunity should be accessible to everyone — and that the real expertise about work lives in the places and people who make our communities strong.
